Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known by his stage name D’banj, is a Nigerian musician, singer, and songwriter. He was born on the 9th of June 1980, in Zaria, Kaduna State
He became active in his music career in the year 2004 and so far, has won several music awards such as the award for Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2007, Artist of the year at the MTV Africa Music Awards 2009, Best International Act: Africa at the 2011 BET Awards, best-selling African Artist at the 2014 World Music Awards and several others.
As a tribute to his mentor, Fela, D’banj uses a fusion of Afrobeat and Afropop in his music, and his songs are usually based on some aspects of his life. The brand and name D’banj have been able to establish for himself over the years has created a spot for him in our hearts, and his style continues to speak volumes.
You can’t talk well-dressed African celebrities without mentioning Afropop singer, D’Banj – one of Africa’s most loved stars, not only because of his music but due to his sense of style. With a wardrobe that has matured well since he debuted on the scene in 2005.
