Olubankole Wellington aka Banky W was born 27th March 1981, in the United States to Nigerian parents. He had his primary and secondary education in Lagos before returning to further his tertiary education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York.
He started his record label E.M.E in 2002 after moving to Nigeria in 2009, where he was the label’s first artist before acts like Niyola, Shaydee, Skales, and Wizkid were also signed to the label.
Banky W, is popularly known as a lady’s man, obviously handsome and classy; which could be why he earned himself the name Mr. capable.
